Username/Password
Q: I forgot my password. Can you tell me what it is?
A: Go to the log in page and click on "get help here". Type in your username and e-mail address and click on post now and it will be e-mailed to you.
Q: I forgot both my username and password. Can you tell me what they are?
A: Click on "contact us" and give us your name and e-mail. Let us know you want your username and password and they will be e-mailed to you.
Q: How do I change my password?
A: To change your password, log in and click on "change profile" and then on "change password". Type in the information required and click on "save changes" when finished.
Matches/Searching
Q: Why am I not getting very many matches?
A: If you aren't getting very many matches it may be that the criteria chosen were too specific. To increase your matches, go to "change profile" and then click on "Change Your Profile/Match Information". Click "no" next to "mandatory" for as many match criteria as possible. Near the bottom of the page there is a place to change "distance from me to my match". Increase the distance here to get more matches. Increasing the age range for your matches will also increase results. Note For U.s. users: Be sure the your zip code is only five digits and not more. If you are still not getting any matches, there may be a problem with your zip code not being in the system. If this is the case, change your distance to 12,000+. If you get matches and the distance for all of them is unknown let us know so we can add your zipcode to the system.
Q: I am getting matches from too far away. How do I limit my matches to a certain area.
A: If you are in the U.S. or Canada, you can limit your matches to a certain distance. Go to "change profile" and then to "Change Your Profile/Match Information". You can then change the "distance from me to my match" to the desired radius and click on "save changes".
Q: How do I find matches in a certain country?
A: To search by country, click on "search" and then on "quick search". Leave location as "this doesn't matter" and then select the country you want next to "country". Please beware that some countries may have two different names such as "England" and "Great Britain" and so you may need to search under both countries to find all the results.
Q: How do I search for a certain criteria?
A: Click on "search" and then on "quick search".
Q: How do I search for a certain username?
A: Click on "search" and then on "username search".
Mailbox
Q: How do I read my messages?
A: To see messages received click on "mailbox" and messages will be listed under the blue bar that starts with "message title". To read a message, click on the title of the message under "message title". To see the profile of the user who sent the message, click on the username under sender.
Q: How do I send a message?
A: To send a message, click on "compose" in the mailbox or "send a message" next to a profile. A box will pop up to type a message in. (Please note that if a box does not pop up it may already be open behind another window on your computer so check icons at the bottom of the screen.) Next to "To(username)" type the username of the person you are writing. Type only the username i.e. "john" not "john@christianoptions.com". Type the title and message and click send. A note will pop up at the top of the box saying "message successfully sent...". A message will be sent to the user's mailbox on ChristianOptions.com as well as to their personal e-mail letting them know they have a message for them at ChristianOptions.com.
Q: I'm trying to send a message but when I click "compose" or "send a message" nothing happens.
A: If you are trying to send a message but are not getting the message window to open, it is probably already open and is behind one of the other windows on your computer. Check the icons at the bottom of the screen to see if it is there.
Q: How to I increase responses to my profile?
A: Post photos to increase responses. People with photos get many more responses!

My Profile
Q: How do I change information in my profile?
A: Click on "change profile" and then click on the category you wish to change. Be sure to click "save changes" at the bottom of the page to update your profile.
My Private Information
Q: How do I change my e-mail address?
A: Click on "change profile" and then on "change your private information".
Q: How do I change my address/zip code?
A: Click on "change profile" and then on "change your private information".
My Photos
Q: What format does my photo need to be in to post?
A: Photos must be in Jpeg format and cannot exceed 100 kilobytes (100k) in file size.
Q: How do I post a photo to my profile?
A: On the "Post Photo" page click on "browse" and select the file of your photo and click "open". This file will then appear next to the browse window. Click "upload" and the file should display in the image box.
Q: How do I replace a photo with another one?
A: To replace a photo just follow the instructions for uploading a photo. The new photo will simply replace the old one. (you don't have to delete the old one first). The new photo may look distorted but this is usually o.k. To see how the new photo really looks, click on "see my profile" and then hit the refresh button on your browser.
Message Board
Q: I'm having difficulty with a feature on the message board. Where do I go for help?
A: Go to the message board and click on FAQ within the message board.
Discontinue Membership
Q: How do I discontinue my membership?
A: Click on "main" and then on "discontinue membership" located at the bottom of the page.
